Meditation

(We are invited into silence.)

Introit: Let’s Sing Unto the Lord (vs. 1) #669

Call to Worship

Leader: The kingdom of heaven is like a seed—
small enough to be overlooked,
alive with more possibility than we can see.

People: God, teach us to notice what the world ignores.

Leader: The kingdom of heaven is like yeast—
hidden within the dough,
quietly transforming the whole.

People: God, change our hearts, our minds, and our way of living.

Leader: The kingdom of heaven is like roots beneath the forest floor—
unseen, intertwined,
sharing life from tree to tree.

People: God, remind us that none of us flourishes alone.

Leader: The kingdom of heaven is like a table with room still being made—
where dignity is never too costly,
belonging is never rationed,
and no voice is dismissed as unworthy.

People: God, widen our vision and deepen our welcome.

Leader: Come, let us worship the God
whose reign is already growing among us,
within us, and beyond us.

All: May your kingdom come, and may we have eyes to see it.  God is definitely in this place and in places I didn’t know.

Prayer’s of the People

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

and the power,

and the glory, forever. Amen.
